LET’S LIGHT UP THE TOWN – LEEDS, ALABAMA!

Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting everyone in the City of Leeds to LIGHT UP THE TOWN and raise money for a great cause to kick off the Christmas and holiday season!

LOCAL BUSINESSES:

We would like to invite you to be an important part of the success for a wonderful community event designed to raise money for a great cause – Christmas toys for children of Leeds needy families through Leeds Outreach with the Leeds Cruising for Toys Cruise-In for a Cause Event scheduled for Saturday, November 13, 2021 beginning at 2:00 pm.

Leeds Cruising for Toys - a Cruise-In with a Cause

EVENT DETAILS:

As you can see from the attached event flyer, this special event will include the cruise-in for which we expect 200-400 automobiles to cruise into downtown Leeds, prizes, street vendors, food trucks, Christmas Open House and a Parade of Cars.  Leeds High School Band will lead the Parade of Cars through downtown Leeds just prior to our annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the gazebo.  The band and Leeds High School Chorus will then entertain everyone with Christmas music and Santa will be there to greet children for Selfies with Santa to top off the holiday evening.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP:

So how can you help or be part of this awesome event?  There are several ways.  If you have a business in Leeds, no matter whether you are a retailer or a service provider:
1)    Have your storefront decorated for Christmas by November 13
2)    Open your doors to the public on that Saturday from 2:00 pm until around 6:00 pm. (If retail, this is your opportunity for shoppers.  If service provider, law practice, insurance agent, etc., welcome visitors in to meet/greet, serve refreshments like hot cider, etc.  Utilize this opportunity to get to know people and welcome them to Leeds.
3)    If your business is not in Leeds or you would like to set up as a street vendor downtown, register as a street vendor.
4)    Consider an event sponsorship to help us raise money for this charitable cause.
5)    If you would like to register your vehicle in the cruise-in, please bring a toy or donation for admission.
6)    Encourage others to bring an unwrapped toy for a chance to win $500 cash!
7)    Help us “Get the Word Out” about this awesome event.

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY

This is an opportunity for the entire City of Leeds to “do it up big”, to be festive and welcoming to visitors that afternoon to kick off the holiday season and do something worthwhile for someone else.

If you would like to register a street vendor space, food truck or participate as a corporate sponsor for this event, please contact Sandra McGuire at 205.699.5001.  Visit  www.LeedsAreaChamber.com for complete details and to download forms!

Would your business like to be featured here?

If you are a member of the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and have a business or an upcoming event in Leeds, Alabama, you could be featured on this weekly e-blast.  Please submit your upcoming event(s) or special offering and we will be happy to include it!

LOOKING FOR A LOCAL VENDOR?

Are you looking for certain product or service from a local vendor? Check out the Business Directory at Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and choose a chamber member.

If you are a local business and not a chamber member, maybe it's time! For more information, visit www.LeedsAreaChamber.com.
