👋WAVE DAY👋 | Leeds Middle School

Wave Day is a new tradition we would like to start at Leeds Middle School that encourages students, faculty, and staff to greet one another and promote a friendly school atmosphere. Coming off of our first Lodge Day with a focus on belonging, we would like to keep the momentum going in order to make sure that our school feels more like a community than just a place we come for school. We hope this reflects our vision and commitment to creating a place where everyone feels seen and welcome.
All students, faculty, staff, and administrators will wear name tags and are encouraged to say “Hey _______” and WAVE to everyone they meet throughout the day. We got the idea from an Auburn tradition, Hey Day, that dates back to the 1940s that is a beloved tradition on campus.
