From 1966 to 1978, Leeds, Alabama, was home to the Town N’ Country Jamboree, a lively variety show housed in the old movie theater.
The building also housed Town N’ Country Recording Studio and Record Shoppe!
The Brasher Brothers bluegrass band kicked off each performance, followed by a talented house band backing multitalented “regulars,” regional acts, and even Grand Ole Opry stars.
Featuring a mix of bluegrass, gospel, and vintage country, the show captured the spirit of classic TV programs like Ernest Tubb’s live broadcasts, WLS’s legendary National Barn Dance, and Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts.
Carrying on that rich tradition of classic country entertainment, Rose Colored Glasses brings audiences back to the golden days of country music. Their sound echoes the magic of Saturday nights spent listening to the Opry and the jukebox hits that defined a generation. With a setlist featuring beloved classics and original material, Rose Colored Glasses delivers the perfect soundtrack for your country music loving heart.
As part of their mission to keep classic country music alive, Rose Colored Glasses will pay tribute to the founders, musicians, and special guests of the Town N’ Country Jamboree, celebrating the legacy of this beloved Alabama tradition.
If you love Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, and Bob Wills, you’re gonna love Rose Colored Glasses!
