January has already begun with plenty of winter weather (bur-r-r-r-r)! It was exciting to see a little snow on Monday without too much of a disruption in our schedules since the ground was still so warm from our summer-like weather during the holidays. What do people say? If you don't like the weather in Alabama, just wait a couple of hours! That's so true, but anyway, there were plenty of happy kids who had the opportunity to play in the snow (which is a rare occurrence in Leeds)!

Shadowlands Auditions | Leeds Art Council at 7pm
Clay Boyce is holding auditions for Shadowlands, the unlikely, true love story of C.S. Lewis and Joy Davidman. Performances are February 25-27 and March 4-6, 2022 at the Leeds Theater and Arts Center in downtown Leeds. Auditions will be Thursday January 6 - 7 pm; and Saturday January 8 - 2 pm. Come prepared to read from the script.

When up and coming prizefighter Henry DeVito has a chance meeting with young singer Tabitha Sanders, it is love at first sight. As Henry and Tabitha put aside differences in lifestyle and religion in order to be together, Tabitha elopes to be married with Henry to escape not just the judgment of her parents, but also the war in Europe. However, when Henry’s brothers enlist to fight the Nazis and when ghosts from the past return, tensions between the Sanders and DeVitos will threaten to pull Henry and Tabitha apart forever.
