THIS SATURDAY!!! 5th Annual Drive Out ALS Cruise-In!
Join us for an exhilarating day at the 5th Annual Drive Out ALS Cruise-In on Saturday, May 11, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The Shops of Grand River, presented by Miss Jefferson County 2024 Emma Terry and The Shops of Grand River in Leeds, AL. All vehicle owners are encouraged to cruise in to support a worthy cause.
What: On Saturday, May 11, enjoy an amazing display of classic and contemporary cars, trucks and bikes, lined up in the front parking lot of The Shops of Grand River. This isn’t just a car show—it’s a chance to support Emma Terry’s Community Service Initiative – Stomping Out ALS One Step at a Time!
“I am thrilled and incredibly grateful to announce that the Drive Out ALS Cruise-In will be at The Shops of Grand River from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on May 11th! You know the drill! Bring any car, Jeep, truck, motorcycle, or anything with wheels in your garage! The purpose of this event is to “Drive Out ALS” by raising funds for the ALS Association. Hope to see you there!” shared Emma Terry.
So, let’s shine up those cars and come out to support the fight against ALS!! Everyone is invited to enjoy the collection of some amazing vehicles.
Who: Event Organizer Emma Terry is a well-known celebrity around the greater Birmingham area as well as the entire state. She has carried titles including Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen 2020, Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen 2021, Miss UAB 2023 and currently holds the title of Miss Jefferson County 2024. Leeds Mayor David Miller designated Thursday, August 19, 2021 as Emma Terry Day at a Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Luncheon. This proclamation was presented on behalf of Terry being named Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen. Along with the Mayor’s proclamation, Congressman Gary Palmer presented her with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition. Terry is very driven in her efforts to educate the public about the diagnosis of ALS and is available to speak on this subject whenever she is afforded the opportunity.

Why – About the Charity: All proceeds benefit the ALS Association: Alabama Chapter. Emma has supported this cause since she was a little girl in honor of her grandfather. The ALS Association uses these funds to purchase things like equipment and supplies for patients and their families. Before his ALS diagnosis, Terry’s grandfather enjoyed restoring antique cars and then showing off his hard work at car shows and cruise-ins where he won numerous awards over the years.
