The Knights of Columbus is an international faith-based, nonprofit, charitable organization of more than 2 million Knights in the U.S and six other countries including more than 8,000 Knights in Alabama and more than 75 in Metro Leeds, dedicated to serving those in need. Our central objectives are charity, unity and patriotism. Charity includes our time, talents and fiscal assistance. The K of C organization was founded in 1882.
The Metro Leeds Knights of Columbus has participated in the greater Leeds Christmas Parade, Creek Bank Festival, and Veteran's Day, Flag Day, Memorial Day and Patriot Day (9/11) services at the Leeds Memorial Park. We support school functions, the opening of businesses, municipal events and recently have been asked by the city to revive Bingo. We have averaged 20 to 40 different activities each year for children, adults, families, the elderly and visitors. We provide fiscal assistance to Leeds Outreach, Leeds Food Bank, Ann's New Life Center and Backpack Buddies. We have been serving the Highway 411 corridor of Leeds, Moody and Odenville for the last 12 years.
