Southern Magnolia Gallery celebrated their grand opening on Friday at The Shops of Grand River in Suite 114 with a ribbon cutting. Mayor David Miller and store owner, Nita Losowsky, cut the ribbon with a host of Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce local business professionals, local artists, and the Grand River team. This new retailer has a huge inventory of artwork from a variety of local artists on display and for sale. The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting Teacher of the Year 2024 nominations. The Chamber is a strong supporter of education and each year recognizes a teacher from Leeds City Schools who exceeds expectations in serving our schools and students.
The Teacher of the Year 2024 Award will be presented at the May 16, 2024 Chamber Luncheon.
Nominations for Teacher of the Year 2024 will be accepted until Wednesday, May 8, 2024. To submit a nomination, please submit a one-page typed letter telling why this particular teacher deserves the award for "Above and Beyond" recognition and send to:

Bottle Drive | Ann's New Life Center
Ann's New Life Center - Leeds would like to invite your small group, church organization, or business to take part in the annual Baby Bottle Outreach Drive! Here's how you can participate. Stop by Leeds or Pell City Ann's New Life Centers and let them know how many bottles you would like to receive! On Mother's Day (May 12, 2024), hand out your bottles letting participants know that the drive will end on Father's Day (June 16, 2024)! Once you have collected your bottles, drop them off at 7404 Roosevelt Drive, (Ann's New Life Center - Leeds) or 3540 Martin Street S. Cropwell (Ann's New Life Center - Pell City). By sponsoring this event, you will help to support Ann's with diapers, wipes, car seats, formula, and so many other necessary items needed for their clients!
