Miss Leeds Area Samantha Hennings Announces “City of Valor’s Got Talent” Fundraiser Event
The Leeds community is invited to showcase their talents for a great cause at the upcoming City of Valor’s Got Talent event, hosted by Miss Leeds Area Samantha Hennings. Samantha spoke at the February 3rd Leeds City Council meeting to share details about this exciting talent competition, which will take place at 6:00 p.m. on March 1, 2025 at the Leeds High School auditorium.
The event, part of Samantha’s Willing Hearts Devoted to Heroes community service initiative, aims to raise funds for The Red Barn in Leeds, supporting programs for veterans suffering from PTSD.
“This event will provide opportunities for individuals or groups of all ages from across the state to display their talents for a great cause,” Hennings shared. “The proceeds will support The Red Barn, which recently trained staff through Columbia University’s ‘Man of War’ program to better serve veterans in need.”
Talented individuals and groups of all ages are encouraged to register by February 19 for a $50 entry fee, while audience members can attend for $10 at the door. The competition will feature three age divisions: 12 & under, 13-25, and 26 & older, with cash prizes for top winners. Samantha is seeking sponsors to help fund the $1,675 in prize awards, with contributions still needed for first, second, and third-place winners, as well as a Crowd Favorite Award.
Local business Central Alabama Sign & Trophy has already stepped up by donating awards for the winners.

Since we are now legal DRVING age, it causes us to think about all of the places we’ve TRAVELED to provide quality food to various people at various venues, in several different states. We’ve DRIVEN great distances to attend conferences and trainings and food shows, to ensure that we are providing the best quality for the best prices. And of course, there is our friendship with Barber Motorsports Park where we have catered to DRIVERS and their hardworking crews and thousands and thousands of hungry fans. But our DRIVING force is this little brick building, that houses a staff that is more like family, with a fire pit that is almost always burning, and feeds a community that we love and appreciate.
