The City of Leeds is excited to share the successful completion of a major infrastructure upgrade at Exit 140. This intersection, a key gateway to popular destinations such as Buc-ee’s and Bass Pro Shops, now features all-new LED lighting fixtures that significantly enhance nighttime visibility and safety.

The LED upgrade provides a more reliable and energy-efficient lighting solution, setting Exit 140 apart as one of the few fully lit and modernized interchanges in the state.

Mayor David Miller shared: “Just another update from the Mayor's corner here. We wanted to let you know of something that we've been working on a long, long time and that we're very proud of. Thanks to our electrical team headed up by Mike Cauble and our Economic Development group that saw this through, we're now happy to announce that we have new all-LED lighting at our Exit 140—our exit for Buc-ee’s and Bass Pro. The lighting was really poor there, so we went in with all brand-new fixtures, all brand-new LED lighting. We’re one of the few in the state that's got every light that works—and they're all LEDs.”

This lighting improvement is a clear reflection of the City’s ongoing investment in infrastructure and public safety, with its full impact best appreciated after dark.
