The City of Leeds invites residents and stakeholders to a Town Hall Meeting on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Leeds City Hall Annex, located at 1400 9th Street, Leeds, AL 35094. The meeting will feature Tristram Evans, a preservation consultant and architectural historian with Paragon Heritage, LLC, who is collaborating with the city to pursue the designation of Parkway Drive as a nationally registered historic district.
This initiative aims to open up opportunities for property owners to access historic tax credits and other advantages associated with historic district recognition. The meeting is open to the public and will provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and share their personal memories of downtown Leeds. Attendees are encouraged to bring old photos of downtown Leeds to contribute to the discussion.
