🌟 Leeds Celebrates Emma Terry, Crowned Miss Alabama 2025 🌟
The City of Leeds is bursting with pride as one of its own, Emma Terry, captured the crown of Miss Alabama 2025 during the pageant finale held Saturday, June 28, at Samford University’s Wright Center in Birmingham.
Competing under the title of Miss Hoover, Emma’s win is the culmination of years of hard work, determination, and unwavering dedication to her goals. A graduate of UAB with both bachelor's and master’s degrees in accounting, Emma previously served as Miss Alabama’s Teen and had been named first runner-up for Miss Alabama in both 2023 and 2024. This year, she finally claimed the top title — a dream she’s chased since the age of 14.
Emma’s stunning ballet en pointe performance to Flashdance earned her the preliminary talent award, while her poise and elegance in the evening gown segment secured her a second preliminary win. These honors contributed to her overall score and helped her stand out among 43 outstanding contestants from across the state.
She was crowned by Abbie Stockard, the outgoing Miss Alabama who earlier this year became Miss America 2025. With the crown, Emma receives a $15,000 scholarship and the opportunity to represent Alabama on the national stage at the upcoming Miss America competition.
Beyond the stage, Emma is deeply committed to making a difference through her community service initiative, “Stomping Out ALS One Step at a Time.” She spoke passionately about the sisterhood of the Miss Alabama program and the transformational experiences it has offered throughout her pageant journey.
“I can’t believe it. I’ve had this dream since I was 14 years old, and it’s surreal,” Emma said after being crowned. “I’m so honored, so blessed. I just knew that it was going to be in the Lord’s hands.”
As Emma embarks on a year filled with public appearances, community work, and new memories, the people of Leeds stand behind her with immense pride and support.
