Leeds City of Valor Veterans Day Events 2024 - The City of Leeds invites you to celebrate Veterans Day with us as we honor the City of Valor, our Congressional Medal of Honor recipients and all those who have served. We have a full schedule of activities that you will surely want to join in:
- City of Valor 5K and 1-mile Fun Run – 8:00 AM
Location: Run will begin and end at the Livery Event Center and the Historic Leeds Depot
This event will benefit Leeds Education Foundation and Leeds Main Street.

- Free Community Pancake Breakfast at The Livery Event Center – 10:00 am
Location: 8334 Thornton Avenue.
This event is sponsored by Leeds Main Street, Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce, Leeds Historical Society, Stratford Real Estate, Linda Miller, Straight Mountain Catering, and several other community volunteers and small businesses. All tips will go to the American Legion Leeds Post #107 for their Veterans program.

- Special Veterans Celebration – Noon
Location: Leeds Memorial Park – 1159 Montevallo Road
This event is hosted by Knights of Columbus Leeds Council #5597 and will include:
* National Anthem sung by our Miss Leeds Area 2025 Samantha Hennings
*Pledge of Allegiance led by the American Heritage Girls Troop AHG-1478
*Devotion led by Leeds Valley Church Pastor Nate Farrow
*Speaker: Mayor and Veteran David Miller
*Taps to be played by Leeds High School Band Director Chip Wise
*Wreath ceremony by the Knights of Columbus Leeds Council #5597
