Leeds Happenings this Week!
The Place to Go to Be in the Know
As many of us anticipate the celebration of Easter this Sunday, some people may wonder what constitute Holy Week. Here are the 7 Days of Holy Week that Christians celebrate:
- Palm Sunday (Sixth Sunday of Lent)
- Holy Monday and Holy Tuesday
- Holy Wednesday (Spy Wednesday)
- Maundy Thursday
- Good Friday
- Holy Saturday (Black Saturday)
- Easter Vigil
- Easter Day
More information on what Holy Week means according to Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Week
Our calendar this week has plenty of events scheduled including special Easter and Holy Week services. Leeds Spring Carnival began yesterday and will be here through Saturday. Food Truck Mondays are in full swing, James Spann will visit the Three Earred Rabbit this Saturday and we already have a huge crowd scheduled for our special visit of Governor Kay Ivey at the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon next week so be sure to get your reservation in. There's much more in store so be sure to check out all the Leeds Happenings right with Everyone Leeds so you will not miss a single thing!
Remember to send us your video or "blurb" about why you love Leeds and send your news/happenings to us so we can feature it in an upcoming edition. Have a great Easter week and always remember to think Leeds first!
