Leeds Historic Downtown Walking Tour celebrating 100 years of the Leeds Jane Culbreth Library as well as other historical people and places on Saturday, April 15, 2023 was a huge success. Approximately 250 people including visitors, tour guides, and other support volunteers participated in this historic walking tour while Alabama Tourism promoted downtown walking tours around the state during the month of April. Librarians of the past 100 years were celebrated with many in full costume sharing information about their particular place in history. This event was hosted by the Leeds Jane Culbreth Library in participation with the Leeds Historical Society and Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce. Other participants and sponsors included Stratford Realty, Casey Parsons Guild Mortgage, Leeds Main Street, and more. We would like to thank each organization and person that participated in this historic event. Drive Out ALS Cruise-In | The Outlet Shops of Grand River

from Emma Terry

I am thrilled to announce that I am partnering with The Outlet Shops of Grand River in Leeds to host the Drive Out ALS Cruise In!
It has been such a rewarding experience to organize this event and see how it impacts the ALS community. It is also special to me because my Grandy loved participating in car shows and cruise-ins before ALS. In fact, I went with him to his last World of Wheels where he showed his award-winning 1963 Chevy Impala Super Sport.
This is just another way for me to honor him and his ongoing fight against this terrible disease. Don’t worry about making plans on May 13th because you’ve already got some! See you there from 11 am-2 pm!
