Leeds Happenings this Week!
The Place to Go to Be in the Know
April is here and community events are in full swing. Even though we've already had a few April showers, there's plenty of sunshine to go around. People feel better when the sun is shining. There's less depression and more interest in life. The Daddy-Daughter Western Party was a phenomenal success, Spring Carnival begins next week, Grand RiverFest and the 27th Annual Creek Bank Festival and Charity Car show are all just around the corner. Our first Food Truck Monday of the season with Backyard Tacos and Cricket's Sweets & Treats was a success. We hope you've already made reservations to meet Governor Ivey at the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce April meeting. There's much more in store so be sure to check out all the Leeds Happenings right here so you will not miss a single thing!
Remember to tell your family and Friends about Everyone Leeds and be sure to send your news and happenings to us so we can feature it in an upcoming edition. Have a great week and always remember to think Leeds first!

Also, a special thank you to the Pell City Line Dancers and to Mike with Leeds Police Department for keeping us all safe! ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION NAMES LEEDS TREE CITY USA FOR 32ND YEAR
On April 4, 2022 Leeds, AL was honored as a 2021 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation in recognition of its commitment to effective urban forest management. First named a Tree City in 1987, Leeds has earned the recognition for the 32nd time. These many years of recognition are due in large part to the diligent effort of the Leeds Tree Commission with the support of the Mayor and City Council.
The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters. It is administered in Alabama by the Alabama forestry Commission’s Urban & Community Forestry staff.
Leeds achieved Tree City USA recognition by meeting the program’s four requirements:
- a tree board or department
- a tree-care ordinance
- an annual community forestry budget of at least $2 per capita
- an Arbor Day observance and proclamation
