Leeds Historic Downtown Walking Tour & Festivities Happening This Saturday!!!
Leeds Trails and Tours has a fabulous line-up of events for you this Saturday, April 13, with more than 75 Reenactors in full costume ready to portray real Leeds people who were here in 1940. They will share stories of people and places captivating you with excitement of Leeds' history as we celebrate the City of Leeds in the year 1940.
You can begin the walking tour at any of the 30 stops. Be sure to stop at the depot for Railway and Train Adventures and Mosaic Chapel for the Old Time Hymn Sing. You will want to spend some time at the Green Space with activities there as well as the food trucks and kids activities. There is SO MUCH to see and do on this year's tour; then, bring out your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the Jazz Fest Concert at 2:30 pm performed by our very own Green Wave Jazz Ensemble!

✨✨Ann’s would like to show our gratitude to The American Legion Post 107 of Leeds, AL. Our supply of car seats was getting low and Jamie Levan put out a cry for help and the Legion answered our prayers. We received 15 pumpkin-style car seats (which is exactly what our clients earn baby bucks for) and an assortment of many diapers (also needed for baby bucks purchases). Thank you to the American Legion Post 107 for honoring Ann's New Life Center - Leeds with such an amazing donation! We are grateful!

Leeds Middle School Band News
The LMS Band students received the Gold Standard trophy Friday evening in Atlanta, Georgia.
These students performed at the Southern Star Music Festival under the direction of Mr. Caleb Howard, M.A. Director of Bands at Leeds Middle School. The Gold Standard Trophy is the highest level that a band can receive at this festival. Mr. Howard said, “The students did a wonderful job all day, and I couldn’t be more proud of their behavior & performance!” The Southern Star Music Festival is a highly respected event, with bands throughout the Southeast. Many school bands will be traveling to perform in the festival over the course of several weekends. The students were given the opportunity to explore Six Flags a few hours before their performance as a fun treat. Mr. Howard hoped that the students would gain a positive outlook on performing while giving them a chance to bond & strengthen relationships with their Band friends. Leeds Creek Bank Festival will celebrate 29 years this year and the festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, with a rain date of May 25 at Leeds Memorial Park hosted by Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Leeds, Alabama. Show dates: May 31 & June 1; June 7 & 8. Synopsis: The play opens at the headquarters of the National Playwrights in NYC, where a panel of judges has just agreed on a winner. Social Skills Class | The Red Barn
Social Skills Class Ages: Children ages 8 to 14. Dates: June 3rd to June 7th, from 9:30 to 11:30 each morning. Students need to be able to attend all 5 class days in order to be accepted into the class. We're excited to have speech pathologists from @Vulcan Speech Group return to lead their annual social skills class at The Red Barn! This class will feature fun outdoor activities that work on the following skills: making inferences, problem-solving, peer interactions, executive functioning skills, and nonverbal communication.
