What an incredible We Love Leeds Day! 💚 From the 5K and vendor market to the kids’ zone, live music, community pep rally, and after party, the entire day was overflowing with joy and hometown pride. This event would not have happened without an amazing team of people. Thank you to our Promotion Committee Chair Jennie Kruse, whose vision for this event brought it to life, and to Maegan Dockery, Marketing Director for Leeds Main Street, who somehow keeps all of my thoughts and ideas organized, which is no small task. We are also so grateful for our incredible volunteers who showed up selflessly and gave their time and energy to make sure every detail came together. Thank you, Jacob Meyer, John Berry Biddle, Tracy Brasher, Lisa and John O’Neil, Hayden Bell, Darlene Negrotto, Neva Reardon, Tiffiany Ward, David Dockery, and Amber Yeackle. Special thanks go to Eric Watters for handling the music acts, Jesse and Miriam Turner for bringing the pep rally to life, Jeff Thomas for having runners sign up for the 5K and bringing a cooler, and Judith and Buddy Jones for going above and beyond to make the after-party a success.
