Leeds Fire & Rescue News - The New Truck is Here!
The long anticipated wait for the Green Machine is finally over!! Some of our firefighters made an appearance on Friday night at Homer Smiles Stadium before the Greenwave took on the Pell City Panthers for their first home game of the season with a 38-10 win (RGR!!!)

City of Leeds 2022 Paving Project to Begin
On September 6, 2022, the City will begin its 2022 Paving Project - as illustrated in the map utilizing the link below. The week of September 6, crews will begin paving preparation activities and in the week of September 12, crews will begin applying pavement.
The project is approximately $1.4 million worth of paving and is expected to take about two (2) weeks to complete (subject to weather conditions).
Grand River's Touch-A-Truck Event was Saturday
The Outlet Shops of Grand River held a Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday to bring more awareness to Autism. A number of local trucks came out for show and tell including the new Leeds Fire & Rescue truck, Murray's Garage, Irondale Fire truck, Fultondale Fire truck and more.
Workout Anytime Leeds 911 Stair Climb Challenge Begins September 5
The 911 Stair Climb Challenge sign-up sheet is now available at the club! Go ahead and reserve your time to climb 110 floors in honor of September 11th, 2001.

Leeds Jane Culbreth Library News
Leeds Jane Culbreth Library just announced their September calendar and it is chocked full of activities for all ages. September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month so if you don't already have a library card, it's time to get one. If you haven't visited the library lately, be sure to stop in to see the smiling faces ready to serve you. The library is much more than physical books (although, they are so important), there are many digital resources available to you and activities to increase your knowledge, make friends and build community.
