The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for:
- Business of the Year (nominee must be a chamber member)
- Non-Profit of the Year (nominee must be a chamber member)
- Citizen of the Year
- Civic Award
If you would like to submit a nomination for any of these awards, please send your nomination in a typed document outlining which award the nomination is for and why you feel that this person, company or organization is deserving of the award to: Sandra@LeedsAreaChamber.com. The Deadline for entering a nomination is Monday, December 6 and the Awards will be presented at the December 16th Chamber Awards Luncheon.

You are invited to VENUE 24 Between the Tracks for a Chamber After Hours on Thursday, December 2 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. hosted by Leeds City Councilman, Kenneth Washington, and the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce. VENUE 24 is an event center located in Leeds at 1550 Anderson Street serving the greater Leeds area for wedding receptions and parties since 2014.
A Chamber After Hours is a free event giving opportunity for area business professionals to meet, greet, develop relationships after normal business hours for those who cannot attend business events during the day.

BINGO | Leeds Civic Center
Bingo is Friday December 3 at the Leeds Civic Center. Door opens at 5 pm. Games start at 6 pm. Winners of the 6 games two weeks ago took home a total of $730. This is a fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus Leeds Council 5597 so come out and support their efforts.
Have Yourself a Movie Little Christmas at 7pm | Leeds Art Council
Come join students from Victoria Boyce's acting class as they take us on a delightful romp through Christmas movies from the 1920s to the 1950s. Enjoy nostalgic glimpses into some of our favorite stories. Shows on Friday night,December 3 at 7 pm & Saturday afternoon, December 4 at 2. Tickets are only $5 and can be paid at the door. Leeds Arts Council offers ongoing visual art classes every Tuesday. The first six weeks will be learning to draw figures from a clothed model. Proportions, line, shape, value/tone, and texture will be emphasized. Cost: $45 per class meeting | Class Size: limited to 10 people →Paper, pencils, charcoal, and conte’ crayon provided. AmFirst Toy Drive ends tomorrow December 3
Let's spread the joy of the season...Please help us bring some cheer to families in need this holiday season. You can help by donating a new, unwrapped toy to the toy drop off box at any one of our 21 branch locations at America's First Federal Credit Union. The toys will be distributed to local families in need just in time for Christmas through great organizations such as the The City of Birmingham Division of Youth Services, Toys for Tots, Curt’s Closet and the Mulherin Custodial Home. Donations may be made during regular business hours at any AmFirst branch from now through December 3rd.

Date: Dec 10 - 7 pm - It's free to ride in the Leeds Christmas Parade, but you must register to participate. To register, please call 205.965.9392 or download parade application at https://leedsareachamber.com/leeds-christmas-parade/
If your company wishes to purchase a professional float for the parade, cost is $400. All floats come decorated and with generators. You only need to have a truck with a hitch to pull the float. Please let Sandra know by this Friday, December 3 if you would like one.
Annual Awards Luncheon
RSVP Now for Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Luncheon 2021 scheduled for 11:45 am on Thursday, December 16 at Leeds First Baptist Church located at 7481 Parkway Drive.
Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Civic Award and Ambassador of the Year will be awarded. Also, the 2022 Chamber Board of Directors will be recognized.
