Leeds Christmas Parade 2023
Leeds Christmas Parade 2023 was a fabulous event hosted by Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Leeds. Leeds Main Street hosted its 2nd annual Mistletoe on Main just before the parade with carriage rides and plenty of activities for kids and their families leading up to the main event. The evening was very festive. Streets through downtown Leeds were lined with families to enjoy the parade festivities and there were hundreds of parade participants. Ms. Blake just became a National Board-Certified Teacher. She completed this rigorous program with passing scores which puts her in an elite group of educators in Alabama.
Ms. Black just completed her Ed.s. from UAB in collaborative teaching with a concentration in reading. Congratulations on continuing your education.
Ms. Hallmark and Mr. Truesdale are also national board-certified teachers (2013) who completed the recertification process and maintained their status as a NBCTs.
Congratulations to these great educators Leeds Primary School is blessed to have.

Thank you to Edna DeGeorge! She spent time with us, helping us turn all of our plastic bags into sleeping mats for the homeless. We did the cutting and then, another group will "quilt" the strips into mats. This is a project that we will continue! Thank you, Edna!!

Knights of Columbus Charity Bingo Night
Mark your calendars for Bingo Night! We always have a crowd, but there's always room for more with a fun evening for a great cause. Leeds Knights of Columbus Council 5597 announces the next Charity Bingo night will be held at the Leeds Civic Center on Friday, December 15. Doors open at 5 pm and Bingo begins at 6 pm. This is a fundraiser for charity projects in the greater Leeds area. Leeds Civic Center is located at 1000 Park Drive. 2023 Lacy Smith Student of The Year Award | The Red Barn
The Lacy Smith Student of the Year award is given each year to a girl student. This year's winner has also been participating since 2015! She has shown commitment to her lessons and the Red Barn through perseverance, hard work, and determination. She does not allow individual situations to influence her attitude or her passion for horses and the Red Barn, which shows her personal growth both in and out of the barn.
