It was a Magical Night in Leeds, Alabama
It was truly a magical night in Leeds, Alabama on Friday night. The annual Christmas Parade brought thousands out on the street to watch one of the best Christmas parades ever in historic downtown Leeds.
Photo gallery is available to view on Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. A video of the parade is available on the Everyone Leeds Facebook page. The parade is hosted each year by Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Leeds.
Mistletoe On Main was a Great Success
The first Leeds Mistletoe On Main was a great success hosted by Leeds Main Street leading up to the parade. Activities were set up on side streets between 6th Street and 9th Street just off the Parkway. The carriage rides were definitely one of the highlights of the evening. Other activities included Snow Globes, Bouncy Gingerbread House, Train, Face Painting, Photo Ops with The Grinch, food trucks and more plus an after party held after the parade on the Ward Stage on 6th Street.

Leeds Jane Culbreth Library Hosts My Story Town - North Pole and Other Holiday Events
The Leeds Jane Culbreth Library was a busy place this week with plenty of excitement in anticipation of Christmas. It was a fabulous My Story Town - The North Pole with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Children wrote letters to Santa, had a Christmas story read by Mrs. Claus, a special surprise visit from Santa himself and Christmas cookies for a delicious snack! Everyone had a great time and the children received their North Pole sticker for their My Story Town Passport! The Library hosted a book signing with local author, Ramey Channell. who has written 3 books in a series with one being a Christmas book. She sold several sets of her books at the event and happily personalized everyone’s copy. A consistent crowd enjoyed the cake tasting and coffee with Chef Rose. Seeing everyone and visiting together over desserts felt so Christmasy and festive! Chef Rose creates the moistest cakes on the planet so if you missed tasting them today don’t worry. She’s coming back to serve her treats at Valentines. The Library is also thrilled to give Library members a unique opportunity to view a large model train display at our library created by the Smokey City Rails Club, (in photo L-R: Billy, Jackie, Russ, Jim, and Earl). Come see all of the trains and speak with these talented model train club members at select times. The train display will be at the Library until January 4th.
Library staff has been working hard for you creating incredible events to enrich your life and putting together Christmas Themed Family Fun Kits for you to enjoy with your family through the holidays. There's no time for boredom, because they've made it easy for you to entertain your family. We have fun Christmas games like pin the nose on Rudolph, Stack the reindeers, Rudolph vs Snowman snowball fights, Ring the antlers on your friends head and challenges such as Rudolph Relay Races, Snowball Bowling, and knock over the cups with a snowball... and more... We have crafts, drinks and snacks. Drop in for the fun, snap some photos beside our Rudolph Backdrop and Red Sled in our snowflake decorated meeting room.
