Leeds Blue Light Weekend and City-Wide Holiday Events Were a Huge Success
Businesses all over the City of Leeds participated in Leeds Blue Light Weekend shopping extravaganza hosted by the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and the weekend was a huge success. From gift-wrapping stations and festivities in addition to the great Blue Light Deals and Offers all throughout the city, shoppers had a great time and got some great deals. This is the first city-wide shopping event, but Tena Payne and Earthborn Studios, Inc. has held their Blue Light Weekend since 2017. Santa’s 2024 Visit to Leeds | Leeds Fire & Rescue
Leeds Fire & Rescue - Santa’s 2024 visit to Leeds on our firetruck will be: on Wednesday, December 18th will start at approximately 5:00 pm. We will be visiting Russel Heights, entering first from Frisco Ave, Henry Ellen Rd, continuing through the heights hitting as many roads as we can continuing down Douglas, and covering Linden St., Lane Dr., Chaba crossing, Lanewood, and most roads in those areas including Palmer and Cedar Grove rd. Listen for the siren and watch for the flashing lights. Basically, we are covering from Asheville Rd. west (not Oliver crossing) And north of Parkway Dr. The next night of Santa will be Thursday, December 19th 5:00 pm. East of Asheville Rd. north of Parkway Dr, includes Oliver Crossing and Austin Hills, Clairmont, Rockhampton, Whitmire, Montague, and Dourrough, to name a few of the roads in that area. Friday, December 20th, 5:00 pm. We will be in Cahaba Hills, Greenbrier, Woodruff Farms (Woodruff Pkwy to top of the hill and turn around and back down, Southern Trace (Southern Trace Pkwy turn left onto Woodmere crossing left onto Southern Trace Dr right onto Southern Trace Parkway then Cromer to Dulion to Hawks Place then back out on Southern Trace Pkwy), Cedar Rock, Stoneybrook, Saturday, December 21st, 3:00 pm. Highway 25, east of Highway 25, downtown area, and from President Street north (toward downtown) between Parkway and Montevallo Rd (Roosevelt, Norman Dr, Maplewood Dr.) Includes Pine Crest Apts, Kings Forest Apts, and Oak Trail Apts. Cahaba Mobile Home Park, Includes Unali and 78 west of Rex Lake to Floyd Bradford Rd. Follow our page each night and we will post when we begin and update on where we are heading. By way of the generosity of God’s goodness to The Tower of Prayer Church, God enabled and equipped us to serve over 400 families today at our 3rd Annual Christmas Market! People from multiple cities came to receive brand new merchandise - our way of blessing our community during the holidays and providing practical ministry. This initiative could not  have been done without the 68 volunteers (angels), community partners and corporate partners. A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Steven Weems and First Baptist Church Leeds for opening their doors and allowing us to serve from their beautiful facility today. A special thank you to Sis. Andrea Scutellaro, Minister Holli K Sealey for securing all of the logistics and systems to ensure today was successfully executed for the glory of God with love and excellence; and the HOST of those with servants’ hearts that helped make this weekend possible - THANK YOU, THANK YOU! God saw the seed of service and shall reward you openly. Thank you everyone - still processing all what the Lord has done! Awards will be presented at the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Luncheon at 11:45 am on Thursday, December 19 at Leeds First Baptist Church located at 7481 Parkway Drive, Leeds, AL 35094. In addition to awards being presented, our Corporate Sponsors will be formally recognized and our 2025 Board of Directors will be sworn in.

Student Summer Camp | Leeds Arts Council
Leeds Arts Council is ecstatic to announce our Student Summer Camps, Aladdin Jr and Shrek Jr! Camps are open to rising 2nd through 12th graders. Aladdin Jr will run from June 2nd through 15th and will be directed by Josh McDaniel. Shrek Jr will run from June 16th through the 29th and will be directed by Allie Picou.
