That's just a reminder that we should conduct ourselves with kindness not just one day a year, but every day! In Leeds, Alabama, we have wonderful people. Most people are kind on a daily basis and that's just one reason why everyone loves Leeds. Leeds is one of the greatest places on earth. We think so and we're sure you do, too!
Congratulations Beverly Riddlesberger! Mayor David Miller declared February 7, 2022 as Beverly Riddlesberger Day. This presentation was made at Leeds City Council meeting with the declaration as follows: "Beverly Riddlesberger has been and continues to provide superior leadership in the Leeds Outreach organization and; whereas, under her management, Leeds Outreach has become known throughout the area as an outstanding resource for citizens to receive support for the need for sustenance and; whereas, she has shown exceptional ability to coordinate extensive municipal and county programs for food and commodities of all types and; whereas, throughout all of her endeavors, she has held highest ideals of citizenship and caring for her fellow man and continues to represent her organization and the City in a superb manner and; whereas, it is the desire of the Mayor and the Council with the City of Leeds to formally recognize her outstanding high achievements and wish her continued success at Leeds Outreach and provide even more widespread service. WoodmenLife awards Leeds City School employees and staff with gift cards
LEEDS — WoodmenLife Chapter #1558 awarded $10 Chick-fil-A gift cards to Leeds City School employees and staff on February 14, 2022. Leeds City Schools employs 256 teachers and staff members. Sandra McGuire, Executive Director for the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of Chapter #1558, delivered the 256 gift cards (for a total of $2,560 distributed). Knights of Columbus Leeds Council 5597 Presents Donations to Local Schools
Knights of Columbus Leeds Council 5597 presented donations to four area schools at their monthly meeting last Thursday at Leeds Civic Center. Each special education teacher received a check in the amount of $500 to their particular classroom for a total of $2000 in charitable distributions. Recipients were Tyler Evans for Leeds Middle School, Alexis Shepherd for Leeds Elementary School, Katie Lee for Moody Elementary School and Leslie Bice for Odenville Elementary.
