Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Makes National List Promoting Small Businesses
The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce participated in an international effort to promote small businesses and shopping local during the holiday season. Chambers who participated in the campaign and who had with the most influence and interactions as part of the 2023 Small Business Season included the Leeds Area Chamber, the only chamber in the state of Alabama to make the top 13.
Other chambers named to the list were Newcastle OK Chamber, OK; Humboldt Chamber, TN; Cabot Chamber, AR; Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber, CA; Milford Regional Chamber, CT; Van Buren Chamber, AR; Wayne County Chamber, GA; El Dorado Hills Chamber, CA; I love Babylon, NY; Cynthiana-Harrison County Chamber, KY; Navarre Chamber, FL; and The Dalles Area Chamber, OR.
Campaign organizers observed that it is clear this is more than just a campaign: it is an international movement with participants in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa.
As part of Small Business Season, the campaign not only brought attention to the importance of shopping small for the holidays, it also set the pattern for people to buy small year-round. The campaign opened doors of possibilities for area businesses and made shopping local an enjoyable event rich with memories and community support.

Knights of Columbus Charity Bingo Night
Mark your calendars for Bingo Night! We always have a crowd, but there's always room for more with a fun evening for a great cause. Leeds Knights of Columbus Council 5597 announces the next Charity Bingo night will be held at the Leeds Civic Center on Friday, January 5. Doors open at 5 pm and Bingo begins at 6 pm. This is a fundraiser for charity projects in the greater Leeds area. Leeds Civic Center is located at 1000 Park Drive. Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Corporate Ambassador Meeting
Corporate Ambassadors for the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at Noon on Wednesday, January 17 at Mango’s Cantina & Grill. Lunch is $10 and payable at the meeting. In addition to covering Chamber business and assignments at each meeting, business-building information is shared and each attendee is given a few moments to share information about themselves and their company.
This monthly meeting is offered as a benefit of Chamber membership. Each Chamber member is encouraged to have a representative attend each month, because it’s a great way to get more involved and keep up with upcoming events and community information that can benefit your company.
