🎉 Everyone Leeds Congratulates Miss Alabama 2025: Emma Terry! 👑
The people of Leeds celebrate with pride because hometown resident Emma Terry won the Miss Alabama 2025 title. Emma Terry from Miss Hoover secured the title during the Saturday June 28 finale at Samford University’s Wright Center in Birmingham.
Emma achieved her victory through years of dedication and perseverance after being named Miss Alabama's Teen runner-up twice. The reigning Miss America and outgoing Miss Alabama Abbie Stockard crowned Emma after her successful performance at the event. The victory granted her both a $15,000 scholarship and a spot to represent Alabama at the Miss America competition.
Emma impressed judges throughout the competition by performing en pointe to Flashdance for talent which earned her both preliminary talent and evening gown awards. She praised the Miss Alabama sisterhood and recognized the life-changing impact the program has had on her existence.
Congratulations, Emma! The people of Leeds support you as you start your new role as Miss Alabama.

🌟 Samantha Kate Hennings Shines as Miss Leeds Area at Miss Alabama 2025 🌟
Leeds proudly watched as Samantha Kate Hennings, representing Miss Leeds Area, brought passion, poise, and purpose to the Miss Alabama 2025 competition at Samford University’s Wright Center.
Samantha, a devoted advocate for veterans, impressed judges during her interview by sharing her heartfelt dedication. She stated she “shared my love and passion for veterans and the Miss Alabama organization” during her “job of a lifetime” interview round.
An Instagram post beautifully summarized her mission: “Inspired by my father, William Dennis Hennings. I’m blazing throughout Alabama to educate our heroes about the benefits available to them.” Her dedication demonstrates a personal and meaningful service platform which focuses on veteran support.
Although Samantha did not move into the top semifinalist group, her advocacy work created a strong impact on all participants and judges and members of the Leeds community. Proud supporters cheered her on.
Samantha represents Leeds with dignity and power while demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities and community dedication. Congratulations on an extraordinary journey, Samantha!🎉

Everyone Leeds would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Shandi White with Stratford Real Estate and all the sponsors who helped organize and host the very first Motors on Main this past Friday night, June 27, in historic downtown Leeds.
The event brought together car enthusiasts, families, and community members for an unforgettable evening of classic cars, music, food, and fun. With the help of dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors, Motors on Main kicked off a brand-new tradition that is already being celebrated as a community favorite.
A special thanks to MOB INC for managing the cruise-in parking, to all the local businesses who stayed open late to welcome visitors and to other inaugural event sponsors like TA Services, Chad Whitlock of Boneyard Builds and Austin Creel of Sweet Home Spirits who jumped in from the "get-go" in the early planning stages. From the incredible turnout to the positive energy, it was clear that the event was a hit—and we look forward to watching it grow in the months ahead.
Leeds continues to shine thanks to the efforts of local leaders, business owners, and volunteers who care deeply about our community. Thank you again to Shandi White and all involved for making the inaugural Motors on Main a night to remember!

🎉Leeds Celebrates Big Fun at 4th Annual Kiddie Day Parade & Water Wars 🚲💦
The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a festive morning of family fun at the 4th Annual Kiddie Day Parade & Water Wars on Saturday, June 28 at Leeds Memorial Park, bringing out families to celebrate creativity, community, and the upcoming Fourth of July holiday.
Participants decorated their bikes, trikes, wagons, and battery-powered cars in patriotic red, white, and blue, circling the walking track surrounded by American flags and the Veterans Memorial display.

Winners received Chick-fil-A gift cards and swag, while all participants enjoyed free patriotic goodies. The fun continued with photo ops, icy treats, and a splash zone sponsored by Casey Parsons of Guild Mortgage, with help from the Leeds Fire Department.
Vendors and sponsors included Snowie of Alabama, La Antojena, Exit Legacy Realty, Beverly’s School of Dance, and The Kristi Graham Scott Group.
