Leeds Happenings this Week!

The Place to Go to Be in the Know

Check Out this Week's Leeds Happenings

June is officially here!  Summer vacations, special events and the opening of Leeds Splash Pad bring plenty of summer fun to us all!  Leeds, Alabama has a lot going on and there's no shortage of news.  Last week, we talked about the new fitness park and fire truck that will be coming soon, the ability to opt-in with the new Text My Gov app (well, it's not really an app, it's a texting service, you don't have to download anything...all you have to do is text so opt-in today to get real-time messages from the City.  You can text the City direct with any inquiries, questions, problems, issues and information). This week brings our first official downtown outdoor movie night  (we're taking the new outdoor movie equipment for a test drive...) and so much more.

We hope you will take a moment to check out this week's post.  Thank you for the opportunity to become your #1 Leeds News Source!

Always, remember to think Leeds first!

The City of Leeds is excited to announce the launch of Text My Gov services on June 1, 2022 to offer another convenient way for residents to communicate with the city. Citizens will be able to sign up to receive message notifications whenever the city needs to get a message out such as road work and road closures. This smart texting solutions works with regular SMS texting so no app or download needed. Text My Gov uses a mobile phone's regular messaging service as a simple way for the city to interact with the public and for citizens to relay information to the city. Text message rates do apply.
