Matilda the Musical Jr. | 7pm | Leeds Art Council
Matilda is Roald Dahl’s gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and inspires children will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson. Matilda has wit, intelligence, AND special powers. She is unloved by her parents but impresses her schoolteacher, Miss Honey. However, her school life isn’t smooth sailing; the school’s headmistress hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda’s courage and cleverness could be the school pupils’ saving grace. You will be delighted by the story of a special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
