Leeds Fire & Rescue News
Beginning March 6th, Leeds Fire and Rescue will perform annual testing on all fire hydrants throughout the city. This process can sometimes make residential water slightly brown when first running your faucet or shower. All testing will be completed by the end of April. We appreciate your patience during this time. Please feel free to contact the fire station if you have any questions. Thanks!

Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce will host their monthly chamber luncheon at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Leeds First Methodist Church located at 1189 6th Street, Leeds with Guest Speaker: Kevin Grigsby, Alabama Power Marketing Specialist.

Open Mic Night Competition | Leeds Arts Council
Beginning in March, the LAC along with musician and host Mandi Rae Trott will be presenting an Open Mic Night in a competition format. 5$ for both performers and spectators. The winner each month will receive 50% of the door money as a cash prize based on a vote at the show's end.
The first open mic will be March 19th from 7 pm - 9 pm - sign up in person beginning at 6:30 or email mandiraemusic@gmail.com to get on the list. If your act or band has more than two people - please let us know ahead of time so we can set up for you.
Tell your friends! The more people who show up to perform or watch is more money you can win! This will be recurring on the 3rd Sunday of every month. This is a great chance to get stage experience if you are new to performing.

Get Your Tickets Now - Kiddie Day Parade | Leeds Memorial Park
An exciting Kiddie Day Parade is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22 at Leeds Memorial Park. It’s Earth Day so families are encouraged to be creative and help their children decorate their bicycles, tricycles, battery-operated cars, wagons, wheelchairs in this or any desired theme to more to ride in this special parade in the city. This is a FREE event with FREE parking and sponsored by Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Kiddie Day Parade will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. at the entrance of the walking track in Leeds Memorial Park on Hwy. 119. Those wanting to ride or walk in this special spring parade should be there around 9:45 a.m. to get in the lineup.
Anyone of any age can walk, ride or roll in this event and it’s going to be a lot of fun! Leeds Fire Department will be there to cheer everyone on and we may possibly have a guest appearance of Sparky! You may pre-register for the parade online at www.LeedsAreaChamber.com. Prizes will be awarded for the best vehicle decorations. You must register to be eligible for prizes.
Be sure to bring your children and your bikes, trikes, battery-operated cars, wagons and wheelchairs and participate in this fun springtime event as we build community in the City of Leeds, Alabama!
