A Great Day at My Small Town Leeds with The Leeds Jane Culbreth Library!
Some photos from My Small-Town Leeds End-of-School Celebration and Summer Reading Program Launch party! The day was beautiful, and the kids found shade in the kid-sized tents. Everyone who signed up for the summer reading program were given a FREE scoop of ice cream from the Frozen Rooster and Kona Ice gave the first 50 people their order FREE!
We had lots of people sponsor a Library Duck for the Duck Race at the Creek Bank Festival next Saturday and sponsors could decorate a blank duck to take home.
The YA Taste Test Tent had a wide assortment of odd, flavored Peeps to try and a Peep Habitat to design and construct to take home.
There were BINGO cards with icons stickers to collect from each kids tent and a I LOVE READING grab bag for visiting all the tents filling out the card.
Carl, the Balloon Animal Guy was busy creating all sorts of balloon sculptures and had a nice line that formed in the shade.
The new mural was a beautiful backdrop and My Small Town Leeds fit perfectly underneath.
There were many who had a great time and requested we make this an annual event.
We love supporting the community of Leeds and thank everyone for attending!!
A big THANK YOU to the businesses and The City of Leeds for making this possible and a wonderfully Fun day!

Drive Out ALS Cruise-In a Huge Success
I just don’t think I can say thank you enough for everyone’s support of the Drive Out ALS Cruise In yesterday! It blew me away seeing how many people came either wanting to know more about ALS or those who had a direct connection to the disease. Whatever your reason was, I’m grateful you came to support my Drive Out ALS Cruise In.
A huge thank you to The Outlet Shops of Grand River for partnering with me on this event and making it possible! I could not do this without their support and dedication!
We were very fortunate to have Kerry Goode join us! Mr. Kerry is a former Alabama and NFL player who was diagnosed with ALS in 2015. Please check out his book, Goode and Faithful Servant, to learn more about his story! He never fails to inspire me. Thank you to Mr. Kerry, his family, and their sweet friend for attending!
